July 2008: The Montauk Monster Washes Ashore
While this is not technically linked to any specific sewage leak — the city, naturally, has declined to identify it as a “monster,” per se, or link it to any specific toxic leaks or animal testing — the evidence is strong that this is a crazy, pre-apocalyptic chemical creation of a beast.
Firstly, more of these bloated little freak creatures have washed up since the original. Secondly, if this were really “just a pig” would it have weird smushed hands instead of hooves? Or any sort of beak? We rest our case. Monsters in the water. MONSTERS IN THE WATER!
