We’ve loved Mary Tyler Moore since we were three years old; and as we grew older, she remained the same wonderful, vivacious Minneapolis TV news producer just trying to make it on her own. And boy did she make it. Breaking into the business at the tender age of 17, as a dancing elf, the Brooklyn Heights native soon landed a part on an awesome-sounding show called Richard Diamond, Private Detective. And yes, the rest is pretty much history. Next up was The Dick Van Dyke Show, and then her own show—not mention her acclaimed role in the movie Ordinary People, for which she was nominated for an Oscar. To us, though, she’ll always be the office colleague of our dreams…
