When Video Stores Become Café-Bars, Everybody Wins
Rumor has it that wonderful Williamsburg video store Videology will be reinventing itself as some kind of café/bar—a cinephile’s dream canteen, as it were. This rumor is based mainly on the beloved local’s application for a liquor license (along with the general decline of brick-and-mortar video stores everywhere), and we certainly hope it comes to pass. Granted, let us offer a brief lament to the video stores model of yore, but if the only way for these places to survive involves sipping cocktails while perusing the Criterion Collection, our tears will dry quickly.
